July 4th was quite interesting. I woke up early and walked around the block to plan out my day. My mother insisted that we go to the mall to buy "cute" outfits for the beach. After arguing with her I decided to let her have her way and go to the mall. We spent a good four hours walking around the crowed mall and bought nothing but an umbrella and a pair of sandals for the beach. We made it back home around 3pm and my family and me left to the beach at 4pm. After an hour of traffic we finally arrived. Unfortunately, millions of other people had the same idea to spend their fourth of July having fun in the sun. After spending 20 mins looking for parking, we went in search for a decent spot to set up at the beach. As I looked around everyone had tents, umbrellas, chairs, and coolers filled with food. And some brought children and even their dogs to partake in the fun. Around 9pm everyone in the area of Miami Beach was on the beach and waiting for the fire works. As the fireworks commenced the crowd got excited, but after a couple of minutes they were over and no one was the least bit impressed. You could see the disappointment all around. The rest of my night was spent in search of good food and a long trip home. But on the bright side I got a fantastic tan!
